Carpet and upholstery cleaning at home in Mexico City

Carpet cleaning at your home or office

Wall to wall carpet cannot leave the house. That is why this service is done on site. Our team arrives with professional extraction equipment, protects nearby floors and furniture and works area by area, with the same care we give a fine rug in our workshop.

Before the visit we ask you to put away small and fragile objects. We move heavy furniture ourselves, with care, and leave it on protective pads while the carpet dries.

We work in homes, apartments and offices in Polanco, Lomas de Chapultepec, Bosques de las Lomas, Tecamachalco, Interlomas, Huixquilucan and the west of the city.

Sofas, chairs and headboards

We also clean upholstery on site: sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, headboards and benches. Before starting we check the care label and the fibre, and we test a discreet spot. Some fabrics, such as silk velvet or certain linens, need dry cleaning or a special method. If a fabric should not get wet, we tell you before we touch it.

How we work on site

  • Inspection and photography of stains, traffic lanes and fibre condition.
  • Deep vacuuming to remove dust and grit before any water.
  • Pretreatment of stains and traffic lanes with products suited to the fibre.
  • Extraction cleaning, which injects and removes water in the same pass.
  • Grooming and ventilation for even drying.

We use products suited to each fibre and rinse thoroughly, because residue is what draws dirt back in. When we finish, we walk through the area with you.

Every service receives a KR tracking code. We photograph before and after, and send you the images on WhatsApp. With some old stains we are clear: they can be lightened, not always removed. We tell you at inspection, not at the end.

Loose rugs: better in the workshop

A hand knotted rug should not be washed on the floor of a home. If we find loose rugs during the visit, we can take them to our workshop that same day at no extra cost. There they follow our seven step process: pickup, diagnosis and photography, deep dusting, washing in the automatic washer or by hand, centrifuge and controlled drying, master review, and delivery wrapped and sealed.

To book your visit, send us on WhatsApp photos of the area or the furniture, the approximate square metres and your colonia. We reply with a quote and available times. We are available Sunday to Friday.

Process

Our seven step process

Process
  1. Step 1. Collection

We collect your rug on the agreed date, in Polanco, Las Lomas, Interlomas and the west of the city, at no extra cost. We roll it with care, never folded, and give you its tracking code.

  2. Step 2. Diagnosis and photography

On arrival at the workshop, the master inspects fiber, dyes, foundation, fringes and edges. We photograph front and back, record every detail and share the diagnosis with you before any work begins.

  3. Step 3. Deep dusting

We remove the dust and grit that settle deep in the foundation and wear the fiber down with every footstep. It is the step most often skipped, and the one that most protects the life of a rug.

  4. Step 4. Washing

Wool pieces go through our industrial automatic washer, with abundant water and neutral detergents. Silk and delicate pieces are washed by hand, by the master, with the time each one asks for.

  5. Step 5. Centrifuge and controlled drying

The industrial centrifuge removes water evenly, without twisting or stretching the weave. The rug then dries laid flat in a controlled environment, to prevent odors, shrinkage and dye bleeding.

  6. Step 6. Restoration and the master's review

If the diagnosis called for it and you approved it, the master repairs fringes, edges and weave with wool and technique true to the piece. Before leaving, every rug receives a final review, inch by inch.

  7. Step 7. Wrapped and sealed delivery

We photograph the finished piece, roll it, wrap it and seal it. We deliver it to your home on the agreed date, ready to return to its place, with the photographic record of arrival and delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the carpet take to dry?

Usually between 6 and 12 hours, depending on the carpet's thickness, ventilation and the weather that day. Extraction cleaning removes most of the water in the same pass. We recommend keeping windows open and avoiding shoes on the carpet until it is dry. If you need it, we can leave fans running.

Can you wash my Persian rug in my home?

We do not recommend it. A hand knotted rug needs deep dusting, a full wash on both sides and controlled drying, which we can only do in our workshop. Washing it on the floor leaves grit in the foundation and trapped moisture. If it coincides with your visit, we take it with us that day at no extra cost.

Do you work in offices?

Yes. We clean carpets and chairs in offices, medical practices and studios in the west of the city. We can arrange the schedule to work when fewer people are present, within our working days, Sunday to Friday. Send us photos, the approximate area and your colonia, and we will propose a date and time on WhatsApp.
