Rugs that live in apartments
In Polanco, almost every piece we collect comes from an apartment. Towers facing Bosque de Chapultepec on Rubén Darío, low buildings around Parque Lincoln and new developments toward Ejército Nacional. Every building has its own rules, and we follow them.
Before we arrive, we confirm with you the reception hours, whether the building asks for our staff to be registered in advance and whether we must use the service elevator. Our team introduces itself to the administration or the front desk, rolls the piece inside your apartment and protects it before taking it down. We never drag a rug through hallways or lobbies.
What the city leaves in a rug
Traffic on Masaryk and Horacio leaves a fine dust that comes in through large windows and settles at the base of the knot. The rug may look clean, yet the fiber loses its sheen and the dust works like sandpaper with every step. That is why, in our workshop, each piece goes through deep dusting before it touches water.
We then wash it in an industrial automatic washer, or by hand if it is silk or a delicate piece, spin it in an industrial centrifuge and dry it under controlled conditions. A master with more than 40 years of craft checks fringes, edges and any open areas before approving delivery.
Delivered ready for the floor
We return your rug wrapped and sealed, with its tracking code and the photographs taken on arrival and on delivery. If you wish, we place it for you and take the packaging away.
