Large homes, inherited pieces
Lomas de Chapultepec is a neighborhood of homes with gardens, high walls and living rooms made for receiving guests. Between Paseo de la Reforma, Palmas, Prado Norte and the streets named Sierra and Montes, many families keep Persian rugs that arrived with their grandparents and have rested on the same wood or marble floor for decades.
A piece like that deserves a diagnosis before a wash. On arrival we photograph both sides, measure it and review dyes, warp, fringes and old repairs. If we find moth damage, sun fading or an open edge, we explain it to you before we continue.
How pickup works in Lomas
Many streets in Lomas have a security booth or controlled access, and in most homes we are received by the household staff. That is why we confirm the day before the name of the person handing over the rugs, how many pieces there are and whether heavy furniture needs to be moved. Our team arrives in our own vehicle, identified, and rolls each rug with protection.
Large rugs, common in the living and dining rooms of the area, are rolled in the direction of the pile and travel flat, with no folds that could mark the weave.
Restoration with a master's judgment
In our workshop, masters with more than 40 years of craft replace fringes, rebuild edges and close open areas with wool dyed for that piece. The goal is not to make the rug look new, but to keep it yours, firm and ready for another generation. Before any repair, we send you photographs and explain what we propose. To get a quote, send two photos by WhatsApp, front and back, with the size and your neighborhood.
